Facial telangiectasia laser is a medical-aesthetic protocol that uses an Nd:YAG laser to selectively close small visible blood vessels on the cheeks, nose and chin, refining the skin's overall colour and uniformity.
Book consultationTelangiectasias are localised, well-defined small vessels visible through the skin, often on the cheeks or sides of the nose. Rosacea is an inflammatory condition with diffuse redness, flushing, papules and sometimes pustules. The two can coexist, but the management is different. Ronal Perdomo, APRN, FNP-C confirms the diagnosis before recommending the appropriate laser protocol at our Miami clinic.
Most isolated small vessels resolve in one to three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Larger or deeper capillaries can require an additional visit. We document the area in clinical photographs and reassess before each session, only continuing while measurable improvement is observed.
Vessels we treat do not return; the laser closes the specific capillary, which the body then reabsorbs. New telangiectasias can appear over time, however, due to sun exposure, hormonal factors or family predisposition. Strict daily SPF 50+ and avoidance of strong vasodilators help to slow the formation of new vessels.
