Nail fungus laser treatment is a medical-aesthetic protocol that uses Nd:YAG thermal pulses to address onychomycosis, working alongside proper nail hygiene and topical antifungal therapy when indicated.
Book consultationThe Nd:YAG laser reduces the fungal load and supports clearance of the infection, but a complete and lasting outcome depends on combining the laser with proper foot hygiene, topical antifungals when indicated and ongoing care after the sessions. We avoid the word cure because no protocol can guarantee zero recurrence, particularly in environments such as gyms, pools and warm humid climates.
A typical course is three to four sessions, spaced four weeks apart. The number can be adjusted based on the extent of the infection, the number of nails affected and the response observed at each visit. We document the nails in standardised photographs at every appointment and only continue while measurable improvement is observed.
Results are visible as the new healthy nail grows out from the matrix. Toenails grow slowly, so visible improvement begins after approximately three to four months and a fully healthy nail can take six to twelve months. The visible portion at the start of treatment is keratin already produced before the laser, which is why patience is essential. Comparison photographs help to track real progress.
