Intimate area brightening is a medical mesotherapy protocol that addresses hyperpigmentation in the intimate and bikini area through a delicate cocktail of tranexamic acid and glutathione, performed under strict medical and privacy standards at our Miami practice.
Book consultationHyperpigmentation in the intimate and bikini area is a documented dermatological finding. Common contributors include chronic friction from clothing, repeated depilation, hormonal influences, post-inflammatory pigmentation after folliculitis or ingrown hairs, and individual genetic predisposition. It is very common and is treated like pigmentation in any other body region.
Every session takes place in a private treatment room with a female medical assistant present at all times. Surgical drapes cover the patient and only the specific zone being treated is exposed. Photographs, when used for clinical follow-up, are taken with explicit written consent and stored in a secured medical record. Patients are welcome to bring a chaperone of their choice.
A standard protocol includes four to six sessions, scheduled three to four weeks apart. The exact number depends on the depth and extent of the pigmentation, your skin phototype and how the area responds. After the initial protocol, most patients move to a maintenance schedule of one session every three to four months, reviewed during follow-up consultations.
