Frequently asked questions

Things people actually ask

How long does full face Botox last?

The aesthetic effect of full face Botox typically lasts three to four months. Onset begins around day three to five, with the peak result visible at about two weeks. Duration depends on individual metabolism, the muscle groups treated, the dose used, and lifestyle factors such as intense exercise. A maintenance plan every three to four months helps sustain a steady, refined appearance.

Will full face Botox make my face look frozen?

A correctly dosed full face protocol should not freeze your expression. Our approach favours a softening rather than paralysing strategy, with dose individualised to muscle strength and asymmetry. Patients keep their natural smile, lift, and animation while dynamic lines are visibly attenuated. If the response is too strong or asymmetric at the two-week review, we adjust at that visit.

Does full face Botox hurt?

Most patients describe the injections as a brief pinch lasting one or two seconds per point. We use an ultrafine needle and apply cold compresses to improve comfort. Topical anesthetic is rarely needed for full face Botox and is offered when patient sensitivity warrants it. The full session lasts about 20 to 30 minutes and is typically well tolerated.

When can I exercise after the treatment?

We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, hot yoga, saunas, and steam rooms for 24 hours after the session. Light walking is acceptable the same day. Avoiding intense exertion supports proper diffusion of the neuromodulator into the targeted muscle and reduces the small risk of bruising at the injection points.

Can full face Botox treat chin dimpling?

Yes. The chin's "orange peel" or pebbled texture is caused by overactivity of the mentalis muscle. A small, precise dose of neuromodulator into the mentalis softens the dimpling and gives the chin a smoother surface. This area is commonly included in a full face plan when the patient shows visible chin texture at rest or while speaking.

Is full face Botox safe?

OnabotulinumtoxinA has decades of clinical data and is widely used in aesthetic medicine when administered by qualified physicians. Side effects are usually mild and transient. Serious events are uncommon. Safety depends on accurate anatomical planning, appropriate dose, and patient selection — the reasons we require a full medical consultation with Ronal Perdomo, APRN, FNP-C (Autonomous Nurse Practitioner)

How is full face Botox different from a single-area session?

A single-area session targets one muscle group, for example the frown alone. A full face protocol coordinates dose distribution across the upper, mid, and lower thirds so the face moves harmoniously. Treating only one area can occasionally make untreated areas appear relatively more active. The full face plan addresses this by balancing the entire facial expression.
