Endolaser for medium areas is a minimally invasive subdermal laser-assisted lipolysis procedure that reduces localised fat and tightens skin in zones such as the abdomen, flanks, inner thighs, and arms, performed under local anaesthesia in a session of 1.5 to 2 hours with a compression garment worn for one to two weeks.
Both reduce localised fat, but Endolaser uses a fine laser fibre to first emulsify the fat and to heat the dermis from underneath. This adds a skin-tightening component that traditional liposuction does not produce. Recovery is generally shorter and the entry points are smaller. For larger volumes of fat or marked laxity, traditional surgery may still be the most appropriate option, which we discuss on a case-by-case basis.
In many medium-area cases the lower abdomen and flanks are addressed together because they share a continuous contour. The combined session typically lasts up to two hours under local anaesthesia. Whether two zones can be combined safely depends on volume, total tumescent dose, BMI, and your medical history; this is decided during the medical consultation by Ronal Perdomo Lugo, APRN, FNP-C.
For medium areas we typically prescribe one to two weeks of compression, usually 24 hours a day for the first week and daytime only during the second. Adherence is one of the strongest predictors of a clean, smooth contour and reduces swelling, seroma, and surface irregularity. Our team fits the garment in the clinic and adjusts the schedule to your individual response.
