Endolaser for large areas is a minimally invasive subdermal laser-assisted lipolysis procedure for comprehensive body zones such as the full abdomen, abdomen with flanks, or full thighs, performed under local tumescent anaesthesia in a session of two to three hours and followed by two weeks of compression garment use and a four-week gradual return to high-intensity activity.
Both procedures reduce localised fat, but Endolaser uses a fine laser fibre to first emulsify the fat and to heat the dermis from underneath, adding a skin-tightening component. Recovery is generally shorter and the entry points are smaller. For very high volumes of fat, marked excess skin or a clear surgical indication, traditional liposuction or excisional surgery may still be the most appropriate option, and we discuss this honestly during the consultation.
BMI is one of several markers we use to determine whether Endolaser will deliver a meaningful, safe and durable result. Patients far from a stable target weight may not see the contour change they expect because the fat compartment is not the limiting factor. In those cases we discuss medical weight management first, then revisit body contouring once the patient is closer to a stable weight. The decision is clinical, not commercial.
Compression adherence is one of the strongest predictors of result quality across large treated zones. We prescribe approximately two weeks of garment use, 24 hours a day for the first week and daytime only during the second. Wearing it as instructed reduces swelling, supports skin retraction over the new contour, and lowers the risk of seroma and surface irregularity. We fit the garment in clinic and adjust the schedule to your individual response.
